Vantage Learning Continues to Bolster Individual Remediation with SPMS Classroom

September 6, 2012

Powerful Personalized Adaptive Learning Plans™, previously only available from the formative assessment and Adaptive Learning Platform™ Student Progress Monitoring System®, are now available for individual purchase through Vantage Learning’s new SPMS Classroom. Vantage Learning, already a recognized leader in online assessment and instruction, is now offering its PALPs on a per-classroom basis in an effort to aid teachers, tutors and other educators looking to measure learners’ knowledge – and act on the results.

SPMS Classroom assesses student performance against a Common Core-aligned test bank and then instantly delivers educative resources based on strand-level diagnostics. These resources are differentiated based on multiple indicators from within the student’s profile. Centered on a student’s unique deficiencies, the platform automatically provides each student with a Personalized Adaptive Learning Plan™. This PALP™ is a needs-based prescription that targets learning and remediation exercises.

“Rather than just reporting a student’s score, PALPs dynamically and immediately create and deliver the best prescription to each student,” explained John Fallon, Vice President of Marketing for Vantage Learning. “This eliminates the lag time between assessment and intervention to begin the process of improvement.”

Students receive dynamic learning opportunities in the form of re-teaching videos, practice exercises and learning evaluations. If a student needs additional help, he will receive new, yet still targeted, activities to help him meet and exceed learning expectations.

“The true power of the PALP™ is found in our Adaptive Remediation Environment™ Engine, which delivers a ‘roadmap’ for each student based on their latest submissions and guides them to improve,” continued Fallon. “These interactive lessons empower the student to take the ‘first action’ while informing the educator how they may further tailor lesson plans to meet individual needs.”

The Adaptive Learning Pathways™ in SPMS Classroom are currently available in math and reading, with alignment for grades three–12. There is a minimum order of 30 student licenses and a maximum of 90.
